Step into the realm of holistic healing with MysticMag and Annmarie Fisher, a dedicated practitioner whose journey from personal struggle to spiritual awakening has illuminated the path of Reiki and energy work. Through her profound experiences and compassionate approach, Annmarie invites us to explore the transformative power of energy healing and self-care, guiding us toward balance, clarity, and inner harmony.
How did you get into this line of work and what drew you to it?
I began practicing Reiki as part of my personal healing journey. I had three spiritual mentors tell me independently that I would become a Reiki practitioner. It didn’t resonate with me in the beginning, because I couldn’t imagine sharing so much energy. I’m an introvert, empath, and HSP, so the idea of even learning Reiki in a group setting seemed overwhelming. Without looking for her, I found my Reiki teacher who taught and certified remotely pre-pandemic, and I knew she was the right teacher for me.
My intention was to learn to provide self-Reiki and Reiki for my cats and stop at level 2. As I continued to practice, my friends noticed the difference in my energy. Once I told them I was a level 2 practitioner, they began asking when I would be able to provide them with Reiki. I started practicing with them and word spread. I eventually obtained my Master/Teacher certification, and my practice grew eventually evolving into The Light Revolution in January 2020. I eventually landed on a distance Reiki practice to cater to other sensitives who want Reiki but are not as ok with the idea of traveling and appointments. With COVID hitting just a few months later, my clients were able to continue their sessions without interruption.
Is there a difference in effect between distance and in-person Reiki?
Reiki transcends time and space, so there is no difference in the effectiveness of distance Reiki vs in-person sessions. In fact, once my in-person clients moved to the distance sessions, many of them said it feels like I’m standing next to them giving them Reiki in person when they receive distance sessions. The intention, the energy, and the love are all the same.
Can you walk me through one of your Reiki sessions?
Sure! I offer group sessions that are available for clients each Sunday just after midnight. On the Saturday night before, I do a self-cleansing and grounding. Then, I gather the names of the group and set the intention that they each receive the Reiki when they set the intention to do so. I use a surrogate and complete an aura cleanse, call in my guides an ask that I receive any information that needs to be relayed to the group. I begin the session using the surrogate just like I would during an in-person session adding a prayer of protection of each person. I release any energetic attachments that may have occurred and do a final aura sweep before closing the session. I thank my guides and my clients and reaffirm the intention that each person receives the Reiki energy at the time and place they choose.
I send an email to the group with instructions on how to receive their Reiki and any information I received during the sessions. I also provide a link to free meditation music my clients can use if they choose. The music is available any time they want to use it, not just for the sessions. Once the client decides to receive Reiki, they set the time and place and relax for the session at their convenience by stating the intention to receive. It works out well for sensitives (HSPs, empaths, introverts), people with limited time, mobility, or ability, or anyone who wants Reiki on their timeline without a fixed appointment time.
What is “Ritual” and what is it used for?
Ritual is my proprietary Palo Santo and Frankincense essential oil blend. I’ve used both for space and energy clearing for years and decided to offer my personal blend to help others with space clearing and maintaining higher vibrational energy without having to smudge. I love Palo Santo because it clears by moving lower vibrational energy out and only allowing higher vibrational energy in. Frankincense is a perfect pairing due to its grounding properties. When they’re blended, the aroma and clearing properties are magical! I use it every day. Right now, I’m offering coconut and soy wax-based candles and the oil blend, but I have other products in R&D, so stay tuned!
What is your favorite part of your profession?
I would say helping people transform their spiritual and self-care journeys. Helping them find balance and the ability to fill their own cups. A client let me know they’d been trying to meditate for decades but could never quiet their mind enough to go deep. They started using my distance Reiki sessions during their meditation practice, and they’ve been able to meditate deeply for the first time. They’ve experienced astral travel, spiritual visitations, more clarity, and clarity on healing of past traumas. It’s nice to be a small part of someone’s transformation. I feel I get just as much from providing Reiki as my clients do receiving it.
Is there anything else about your work that you’d like to share that we haven’t covered?
I mentioned that my sessions are geared toward sensitives, but anyone is welcome. Also, in addition to being a Reiki Master, I’m a certified EFT practitioner. I plan on offering a combined Reiki/EFT experience as well as downloadable EFT tracks clients can use as much as they’d like. Anyone interested in learning more as it becomes available can go to my website to sign up for the email list.
